HRD Minister Announces Schools, Colleges Re-open date in India

Schools and colleges will reopen across India after August 2020, most likely after August 15, said Union HRD Minister Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal. Remarkably, all educational organizations have been closed since mid-March, some of them from March 25 when the across the nation lockdown began to contain the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

“We are trying to get declared all the results from the examinations this session by August 15. This means those exams which have already taken place before and those which are taking place now,” Pokhriyal said in an interview.

On the other hand, the Haryana government has chosen to reopen the schools in the next month in a phased manner. Addressing reporters, Education minister Kanwar Pal said that the state government will take feedback from stakeholders, including parents, teachers and experts and afterward it will accept a last approach resumption of classes.

In the first stage, Classes 10-12 would be begun in July, followed by Classes 6-9, and in the last phase Classes 1-5 would start, he said. The schools and college classes will start in August, the minister expressed.

Last month, a section of media had detailed that schools and universities will reopen by July in a zone-wise way, beginning from Green and Orange areas the country over. Afterward, the Union Home Ministry explained that no decision has been taken at this point on opening of educational institutions.

An edited image of a Hindi news channel, claiming that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has offered gesture to express all states to open schools was also doing rounds on social media. However, the rumour was busted by the spoksperson of MHA on the Twitter.

‘National Test Abhyaas’ app launched For JEE Main, NEET Applicants

Following various requests from students in regards to the preparations for competitive exams Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), the National Testing Agency (NTA) has thought of ‘National Test Abhyaas’ app for the students getting ready for the engineering and medical admission tests.

The App has been created by NTA to empower contender to step through fake examinations for upcoming tests, such as, JEE Main, NEET under the NTA’s preview.

Students from across the country can “take full mock tests free of cost, in a bid to be fully prepared for the upcoming JEE, NEET, and other competitive exams. The tests can be easily downloaded,” the HRD ministry statement read.

The app will contain a three-hour-long question paper for both JEE Main, NEET competitors. The students will get quick scores with clarifications of the appropriate responses. The app is controlled by artificial intelligence (AI) and consequently after the exam, students will get instant analysis including time spent by the student on each area. The app is at present accessible for Android and iOS variant is relied upon to be launched soon.

“One full question paper (3 hours) will be available each day, for both JEE (Main) & NEET. Students can take the test anytime as per their convenience, get immediate scores, correct answers with explanations, and analyze the time spent on different sections,” HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal tweeted. 

The app is currently accessible on Android and the iOS version is coming soon. JEE Main will be held between July 18 and July 23, NEET on July 26 and JEE Advanced on August 23. Both the exams were delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The NTA also permits the office of exam centers, in any case, that couldn’t be gotten to because of the continuous lockdown.

CBSE Released Class 10th Class 12th Pending Exams Schedule

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday released the modified datesheet for the rest of the class 10th and 12th board exams.

The class 10 and 12 board exams will be conducted for the remaining 29 papers from July 1 to July 15 2020 at different examination centers.

The CBSE date sheet for class 10 and 12 board exams was before scheduled to be released on May 16 2020 at 5 Pm.

Prior in a tweet the HRD Minister had said that because of the present circumstance the CBSE will conduct board exams for only 29 primary subjects which are required for promotion and significant for admissions to the next session.

  • English Communication
  • English Language and Literature
  • Science
  • Social Science.

To be conducted for the whole of India:

CBSE To Organize Class 10th, 12th Pending Exams from 1st July to 15th July

The pending 29 subjects of the CBSE Board exams will be conducted from July 1 to July 15, 2020. This was declared by the union minister for human resource development on Friday. The exams were suspended after the across the nation lockdown because of the COVID-19 flare-up. The Class X Board exams for six subjects will be directed only for the students of North East Delhi which were suspended because of the riots earlier this year. The date sheet will be declared by CBSE soon.

CBSE To Organize Class 10th, 12th Pending Exams from 1st July to 15th July

As first revealed by a report on Wednesday, the exams will be led in the first fourteen days of July, in front of the JEE (main) and NEET-UG scheduled later in the month.

Putting rest to all speculations, Ramesh Pokhriyal, union HRD minister said: “The pending CBSE exams will be held from July 1 to July 15, 2020. Students have ample time to revise and perform well.”

Prior on April 1, 2020, CBSE reported that it will conduct exams for only 29 main subjects of the 41 pending Class X and XII Board exams. CBSE in its announcement also said that it will give directions for marking and assessment for the other delayed subjects for which there will be no further exams.

CBSE couldn’t direct exams on eight examination days because of the Covid-19 pandemic circumstance after March 18. Further, because of the peace circumstance in North East Delhi locale the board couldn’t direct exams on four assessment days, while a very small number of students from and around this area couldn’t show up in exams on six examination days.

The Class X subjects for North East Delhi incorporate Hindi Course A, Hindi Course B, English Communication, English Language and Literature, Science, Social Science. The Class XII subjects for North East Delhi incorporate English Elective – N, English Elective – C, English Core, Mathematics, Economics, Biology, Political Science, History, Physics, Accountancy, Chemistry. The Class XII subjects for all India are Business Studies, Geography, Hindi (Elective), Hindi (Core), Home Science, Sociology, Computer Science (Old), Computer Science (New), Information Practice (Old), Information Practice (new), Information Technology, Bio-Technology.
