Nagaland Election Results 2018: Nagaland Assembly Elections were held on 27th February across the state. The Nagaland Legislative Assembly Elections held 60 Assembly Constituencies. Naga People’s Front is the ruling party in the state of Nagaland while there is no opposition party. Shri TR Zeliang is the chief minister of the state and Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya is the Governor. Abhijit Sinha is the present chief election commissioner of Nagaland state. Nagaland Assembly Elections 2018 Vote Counting, Live Updates

Nagaland People’s Front (NPF) is the ruling party of Nagaland. It won 37 seats. BJP got 2 seats while UDP secured 1. Just 8 Independents won the seats. The elections detailed a 90.19% of voter turnout. The present Chief Minister of Nagaland is TR Zeliang who assumed control after Neiphiu Rio’s acquiescence on the 23 May 2014. TR Zeliang was confirmed as the 17th Chief Minister of the state on 24 May 2014. There came a gap in his initiative when Shurhozelie Liezietsu held the workplace between 22 Feb to 19 July. After that TR Zeliang again got hold of the position. The present speaker of the state legislative assembly is Chotisuh Sazo. The Deputy Speaker of the assembly is Imtikumzuk.
