Prof. A. Rajendraprasad Takes Charge As ANU Vice-Chancellor
Prof. A. Rajendraprasad assumed charge as the Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University on Tuesday. He vowed to set right the things in ANU with the cooperation of teaching staff and students and to switch the ANU into the best university of Amaravati. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rajendraprasad said that they are working to get NAAC accreditation this year and expressed hope that the ANU will get the accreditation to transform ANU into a top class university.
Mr Rajendraprasad said that a women protection cell will be formed in the ANU for the safety and protection of girl students and women staff. He put his signature on the women protection cell file after assuming charge. He said that they areasserting on the development of research and reforming education pattern for providing employment-oriented education.
Responding to the problems of the ANU, he said that he has vast experience in Andhra University and will use it for the reformation of the ANU. He assured about filling vacant teaching and nonteachingstaff posts in the ANU. Mr Rajendraprasad earlier garlanded the statues of the national leaders on the ANU campus, visited various departments and later conducted a meeting with ANU officials. ANU Rector Prof. K.R.S. Sambasiva Rao and other officials participated in the programmes.
