Padmaavat Movie Review Story line

The film Padmavat/Padmavati is the historical-drama genre film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film hits the screens amid great expectation from the audience. This is the epic film from the ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Coming to the storyline of the film, the movie depends on the Rani Padmavati, an unbelievable Hindu Rajput ruler, said in Padmavat, an Awadhi language epic lyric composed by Sufi artist Malik Muhammad Jayasi in 1540. As indicated by Padmavat, she was the spouse of Ratan Sen (called Rawal Ratan Singh in later legends), the Rajput leader of Mewar. In 1303, Alauddin Khilji, the Turko-Afghan leader of the Delhi Sultanate, laid attack to the Chittor Fort in Rajputana. As per Padmavat, Khilji drove the invasion motivated by his desire to capture Padmavati. The men of the city raged out in a last mortal sally to kill the same number of the adversary before falling. Padmavati is said to have conferred jauhar (self-immolation) alongside the various ladies of the city to secure their respect and to abstain from being caught by Khilji.

The characterization and actors selection is great in this film. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s characterization and screen presence of actors is excellent. Deepika Padukone, who played the role of Padmaavati has done a great job in her role. Other 2 actors Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the roles of Ratan Singh and Alauddin Khilji is great in this film. All the other actors Raza Murad, Jim Sarbh, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Anupriya Goenka have done a great deal in their roles. Overall it is a great entertainer and epic film. The film is great to watch from start to end.
